The American Made Grills Atlas 42-Inch is a built-in NG or LP grill with 72,000 BTUs, 730.75 sq. in. of cooking space, and 304 stainless steel construction.

A Clean Built-In Profile for Larger Outdoor Kitchens

Designed to become part of the outdoor kitchen rather than sit apart from it, the Atlas 42 uses 304 stainless steel construction with a full-width stainless hood handle and an 18-gauge double-lined hood. Its clean metallic surfaces pair naturally with stone, tile, masonry, and contemporary island finishes.

The 730.75 sq. in. total cooking surface provides generous room for preparing several foods together. Two multi-position warming racks add flexible secondary space above the main cooking area for holding finished items or organizing different stages of a meal.

Four-Burner Cooking with Briquette Heat Distribution

Four 18,000 BTU U-tube burners deliver 72,000 total BTUs beneath heavy-duty 8mm square cooking grates. An easy-clean briquette system sits between the burners and cooking surface to support heat distribution while providing removable components for maintenance.

The grill also incorporates lighting directly into its stainless design. Interior halogen lights illuminate the cooking area, while LEDs positioned above the control knobs improve visibility around the controls after sunset.

Installation Options

The Atlas 42 is intended for built-in outdoor kitchen installation. It should be installed within an appropriately designed outdoor kitchen island while following American Made Grills requirements for the grill cutout, ventilation, clearances, gas supply, and combustible materials.

Two fuel configurations are available: ATS42-B-NG for Natural Gas and ATS42-B-LP for Liquid Propane. The appropriate gas supply and electrical connection for the integrated lighting should be planned during construction of the outdoor kitchen.

Controls & Features

Four individually controlled U-tube burners allow the cooking surface to be managed across separate heat areas. Flame Thrower ignition provides burner ignition, while the briquette system distributes heat beneath the cooking grates.

Two multi-position warming racks provide additional usable space above the main grates. For cleanup, the grill includes a removable drip tray that the manufacturer identifies as dishwasher safe.
