The American Made Grills Muscle 42 Hybrid is a built-in gas, wood, and charcoal grill pairing multi-fuel flexibility with bold automotive-inspired styling.

A Statement-Making Design with Balanced Proportions

The Muscle 42 expands the cooking footprint while maintaining the series' sculpted design language. Its automotive-influenced front and substantial stainless steel hood create a distinctive focal point within a built-in outdoor kitchen.

The grill is constructed from #304 stainless steel and combines a double-lined hood with a full-width handle, integrated lighting, and heavy-duty cooking components. The 42-inch format provides 1,315 square inches of total cooking surface, giving the design a larger physical presence without moving to the 54-inch configuration.

One Cooking Platform for Gas, Wood, and Charcoal

Six 22,000 BTU main burners produce 132,000 BTU of combined output. AMG's patented fuel trays allow the grill to operate with Natural Gas or Liquid Propane while also accommodating charcoal, lump charcoal, wood chunks, and wood logs.

The integrated Hybrid system allows the gas burners to assist with starting solid fuel. Once the wood or charcoal is properly ignited, cooking can continue over the solid fuel according to AMG's operating instructions.

Installation Options

The MUS42 is designed as a built-in grill for integration into an outdoor kitchen island. Installation should follow American Made Grills requirements for the appropriate cutout, combustible clearances, enclosure ventilation, gas supply, and electrical connection.

AMG identifies the Muscle family as available in built-in or freestanding configurations. The freestanding configuration uses a cart rather than changing the installation method of the built-in MUS42 grill head.

Controls & Features

Six individually controlled 22,000 BTU main burners provide the gas cooking system, with Flame Thrower valve ignition used for startup. Adjustable hood vents provide airflow control, while patented solid-fuel trays beneath the grates accommodate the grill's wood and charcoal capabilities.

Reversible 9-gauge V-shaped grates provide the cooking surface, and heat-zone separators help organize different cooking areas. Interior halogen lighting illuminates the grill surface, while LED front-panel lighting improves control visibility. An easy-glide drip tray collects cooking residue beneath the cooking system for routine cleaning.
