This was exactly the "look" we were going for. We have had several compliments from neighbors on the unique way the glass tube shows off the flame. It is not quite as hot as the more traditional "top down" patio heater but the dramatic flame more than compensates for the slight heat loss. A big winner on our patio.
I recently moved from a house where I had two deck space heaters similar in appearance to these. The buyer wanted us to leave them as part of the deal. I purchased two of these as replacements for our new home. I assumed the quality would be identical but I was wrong. The quality of these units is noticeably superior. The quality of the metal itself as well as the protective packing for shipment was better. Both of these arrived in perfect condition whereas my previous units had multiple panels with visible dings in them. Plus, the cap piece on the old units would warp dramatically when in operation which does not happen on these new ones. The only negative I will comment on here is that for some reason the manufacturer's logo on the front base panel is not even close to centered or level and it takes away from the appearance of it being a quality piece of equipment.
Awesome... I only wish it would be a little easier to light but other than that, however it is an excellent heater. I do recommend it.
Looks well made and, though a little bit of work putting it together, I bought two to use this fall so we can social distance outside when it is cool out.
